Artist’s Note:
This drawing belongs to a period when I was searching for a visual language capable of expressing the invisible connections between the body and the universe.
I became increasingly interested in the possibility that the human body could be understood as a living landscape rather than an isolated form. In this drawing, roots, rivers, mountains, and celestial space do not exist outside the body. They emerge as extensions of the same living system.
Like many of my ink drawings from this period, the work was created through thousands of repeated dots and fine lines. The repetition itself became an essential part of the artwork. It allowed drawing to develop into a contemplative practice, where sustained physical action gradually transformed my state of attention.
The celestial elements appearing throughout my work, including the moon, stars, and the sun, are not decorative symbols. They reflect my ongoing interest in the subtle relationship between human experience and the larger cycles of nature and the cosmos. Through these recurring images, I attempt to visualise an interconnected existence that extends beyond the boundaries of the physical body.
For me, the creative process remains as significant as the completed image, because it is within that process that the artwork and the artist continuously transform one another.
