Artwork Description:

Searching for the Missed Mystery of Life: Seeds of Consciousness is a symbolic watercolour painting that explores the interconnected evolution of human consciousness, moral awareness, nature, and the cosmos.

Created in 2018 using professional archival-quality watercolour on archival paper, the composition presents a transparent human figure whose body becomes a living ecosystem. Flowers emerge from within the body, while the Earth replaces the head, suggesting that human consciousness is rooted not only in individual experience but also within the larger processes of life and the universe.

Floating islands, branching roots, celestial space, stars, and organic forms create a symbolic landscape where visible and invisible realities coexist. Each element represents a different layer of existence rather than a literal scene.

One of the most significant symbols in the painting is the winged three-eyed being positioned above the Earth. Although its appearance resembles an insect, it is intentionally not depicted as a bee. Within the artist’s symbolic language, it represents human conscience and moral awareness, inspired by the Islamic concept of the angel (Fereshta). Rather than illustrating a religious figure, it functions as a universal ethical presence that silently witnesses human existence. Its third eye symbolises awakened perception, suggesting an awareness that extends beyond the visible world into the moral and spiritual dimensions of life.

The recurring roots, floating islands, botanical forms, and celestial imagery reinforce the artist’s long-term investigation into the hidden relationships connecting the human body, nature, consciousness, and the wider cosmos.

Artist’s Statement:

This painting continues my search for the invisible relationships that connect human existence with nature and the universe.

I imagine human consciousness as something that grows in the same way plants grow. Just as roots spread beneath the surface before becoming visible, our awareness develops quietly through experience, memory, morality, and our relationship with the living world.

The transparent body filled with flowers represents life as a continuously growing organism. The Earth positioned where the head should be suggests that our consciousness is inseparable from the planet that sustains us.

The winged three-eyed figure is one of the central symbols in my visual language. Although it may resemble an insect, it is not intended to represent a bee. Instead, it embodies conscience, ethical awareness, and the symbolic presence of an angel. Inspired by Islamic cultural symbolism, this figure reflects the invisible moral force that accompanies every human being. The third eye represents an awakened consciousness capable of perceiving realities beyond ordinary vision.

For me, the mystery of life does not lie in isolated individuals but in the invisible relationships that quietly connect humanity, nature, morality, and the cosmos.
