This drawing was created during an important period of experimentation in my practice.

At the time, I was exploring how the human body could merge with the structures of nature, allowing roots, seeds, clouds, stars, and fragments of anatomy to exist as parts of a single living system.

Even today, I continue to find within these small drawings the same questions that remain central to my work: the fragile tension between existence and non-existence, visibility and invisibility, the body and the cosmos.

Although modest in scale, these drawings contain the conceptual seeds of many ideas that later expanded into larger paintings.

Created in 2012, the drawing explores the subtle threshold where the human body gradually dissolves into nature, and where light, shadow, memory, and organic forms become inseparable. Rather than depicting anatomical reality, the work transforms bodily fragments into roots, clouds, seeds, celestial spaces, and living organisms, suggesting a continuous exchange between the human condition and the natural universe.

Executed with an ultra-fine Japanese pen using artist-grade Chinese ink on acid-free paper, the drawing relies on delicate lines, stippling, and controlled negative space to construct a symbolic visual language. Despite its intimate scale, the work invites close observation, revealing layers of interconnected forms that unfold gradually.

This drawing represents one of the earliest visual foundations from which many of the artist’s later conceptual paintings evolved.
